§ 2257 Statutory Notice

CamTube is a platform that hosts and distributes user-uploaded and producer-supplied adult content. In compliance with 18 U.S.C. § 2257, 18 U.S.C. § 2257A, and their implementing regulations at 28 C.F.R. Part 75, the following records are maintained.

All models, actors, actresses, and other persons that appear in any visual depiction of actual sexually explicit conduct appearing or otherwise contained in this website were over the age of eighteen (18) years at the time of the creation of such depictions.

All other visual depictions displayed on this website are exempt from the provision of 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75 because they do not portray conduct as specifically listed in 18 U.S.C. § 2256(2)(A)(i) through (iv) or because they do not portray actual sexually explicit conduct as defined in 18 U.S.C. § 2256(2)(A)(i) through (iv).

Records required to be maintained pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75 are kept by the Custodian of Records identified below and are available for inspection by the Attorney General of the United States and other authorized authorities during regular business hours.

01 Custodian of Records

02 Scope — Primary vs. Secondary Producer

CamTube operates as a secondary producer within the meaning of 28 C.F.R. § 75.1(c)(2) with respect to third-party content hosted on the platform. Where CamTube itself produces original content, it acts as a primary producer and maintains its own complete records.

For all third-party content, CamTube:

Requires each content producer to submit a written § 2257 compliance certification before publishing.
Verifies that the certification identifies a named Custodian of Records with a valid business address.
Retains a copy of each certification, subject to the retention schedule below.
Removes content immediately upon credible notice that records are missing or invalid.

03 Age Verification Procedures

All performers appearing in content distributed by CamTube are verified as 18 years of age or older using the following procedures:

Government-issued photo ID — a passport, driver's license, national ID, or equivalent document is examined by the producer.
Comparison — the performer's likeness on the ID is compared to the performer in person or via live video.
Record creation — the performer's legal name, date of birth, and any aliases or stage names are recorded.
Copy retention — a copy of the ID is retained securely for the period required by law.
Re-verification — records are reviewed and updated as required by 28 C.F.R. § 75.2(b).

04 Record Categories

The following categories of records are maintained by the Custodian:

Copies of government-issued photo identification for each performer.
Performer legal names, aliases, and dates of birth.
Producer § 2257 compliance certifications and custodian statements.
URLs and content identifiers of the depictions to which each record corresponds.
Dates of production and dates records were created or last updated.

05 Retention Period

Records are retained for the period required by 28 C.F.R. § 75.4 — generally at least seven (7) years from the date of creation of the depiction, or longer where required by applicable law.

06 Exempt Content

Certain content is exempt from § 2257 recordkeeping requirements, including:

Depictions of simulated sexually explicit conduct (subject to § 2257A certification obligations, where applicable).
Content that does not fall within the statutory definition of "actual sexually explicit conduct" at 18 U.S.C. § 2256(2)(A).
AI-generated or fully synthetic depictions in which no real human performer appears.

Where § 2257A applies, CamTube collects and maintains the required certifications identifying the date of production and the performers' ages.

07 Takedown & Complaints

If you believe content on CamTube is being distributed in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2257 or any related law, contact the Custodian of Records immediately at [CUSTODIAN_EMAIL]. We investigate all complaints and remove non-compliant content promptly.

08 Legal Notice

18 U.S.C. § 2257(a) provides: "Whoever produces any book, magazine, periodical, film, videotape, digital image, digitally- or computer-manipulated image of an actual human being, picture, or other matter which contains one or more visual depictions of an actual human being engaged in actual or simulated sexually explicit conduct, and which is produced in whole or in part with materials which have been mailed or shipped in interstate or foreign commerce, or is shipped or transported or is intended for shipment or transportation in interstate or foreign commerce, shall create and maintain records…"
